89. the one where it’s suddenly 2018

< time passes >

suddenly! it is 2018 and i have a 3 year old border collie called cassie.

everything is different now, everything has changed.
but last week, we were back here again

colours and textures
and i was pleased to note
that, actually, everything is the same.

  1. Time flies along at an astonishing rate and yes, dearest lady, things are comfortably the same but also refreshingly different ❤️🐾❤️

    • whatever the internet equivalent is, of one of those hugs where i hold you a bit too tight and a bit too long, so it’s just starting to get really uncomfortable and a little bit awkward… that. x

      • Hahaha if you hold me for too long, my hearing aid starts to whistle – like a hug timer alert alarm going off ⏰⌛️

So I’ve wasted another nearly whole day (sock drawer + pants/bra drawer sorting out…mundane but necessary as no more clean stuff will actually fit) – the thought of sweeping crumbling floor is tooooo depressing… avoidance and procrastination is working splendidly well..

Personally, I miss both you & Sal on this part of dark inter webs? It’s so quiet and ‘personal’? Like you’re here to nag me for more tea and cake?! xxx

      • Hang on – I sent you truffles?! Homemade?!! Your memory is significantly better than mine…

      • ahhh.

remember that time you sent me home made choklit truffles and i didn’t worry about potential stalker poisonings – just gobbled the lot. it was such simpler times way back then.
i’m hoping this bit of interwebs will be like simpler times.

  2. Cassie is doing her best Annie impression in that close-up photo!

It’s astonishing how time flies (how is it possible we’re in 2018?! I remember 2001 so well!) but it’s comforting knowing certain things remain the same and can be reached for a snuggly trip down memory lane.

    • i’m still writing dates like 192018. because the millenium is aaaages away yet.

i’m so glad i rediscovered this thing… it really is comforting to read & see all those happy annie memories! MUST TRY HARDER
      xxx

  3. Oh my goodness… its been THAT long. I was thinking of you the other day and thought mmmmm I haven’t seen anything from you for ages… but didn’t think it was that many ages. Glad things are different but the same. Hope you are still sewing your zombie heart out. Also hope you are going well and sending you a great bit HI from here in Australia! :)

    • jennifer! <3
my first aussie customer! but even my memory isn't good enough to remember… did it have a bird on it?

i'm still zombie-ing, and pootling about on facebook & instagram… but i miss THIS bit of internet the most
so good to hear from you! for reals! xxx

  4. You are blogging again… and I didn’t know either! It doesn’t tell me any more – must have got bored of waiting for me to come back to my blog stuff.

Annie and Cassie…. It’s definitely the same but different.
    We had a Sherlock-cat…now we have a Tommy-cat…

Is it Really 2018? I think you’re making it up for a laugh. It’s still only 2008 and J. is only ten. And I am not 40-plus-a-lot-more, but really forty-ish and have no wrinkles or saggy bits.
    Right?
